Win a Trip to Dallas

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN.

1. ELIGIBILITY:

Sweepstakes only open to legal residents of the 50 United States, at least 21 years of age or older at time of entry. Void in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, U.S. Military installations in foreign countries, and where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees and immediate family members (parents, children or siblings, whether or not the individual lives in the same household) of the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, participating vendors, promotion or advertising agencies, or any other company involved with the design, production, execution or distribution of the sweepstakes (all of the above, together with sponsor, collectively referred to as promotion entities) and household members of each of the foregoing are ineligible to enter. Household member shall mean people who share the same residence at least 3 months a year. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

2. HOW TO ENTER:

Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 a.m. central time (CT), April 1, 2008 and ends at 11:59 p.m. CT, July 31, 2008 (the promotion period). Visit www.glbtdallas.com and follow the instructions to enter the sweepstakes. All entries must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. (CT) on July 31, 2008. Only one entry per person will be accepted. Subsequent entries will be disqualified. Subsequent attempts made by the same individual to enter will be disqualified. Mass entries, or entries generated by a script, macro or use of automated devices will be disqualified. No liability is assumed for late, lost, incomplete or misdirected entries. Potential winners may be required to show proof of identity. All entries become property of the sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

3. SELECTION OF WINNER:

A random drawing will be conducted on or about August 1, 2008, by SRJ Marketing Communications, LLC, an independent marketing communications agency whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this sweepstakes, from among all valid entries received during the promotion period. Odds of winning a prize depend upon the total number of eligible entries received.

4. PRIZES:

Grand Prize (1): A trip for two (2) people (winner and guest) to Dallas, Texas. Prize consists of air transportation to/from a major airport closest to winner’s home to/from a Dallas area airport for winner and one guest, coach class or better, hotel accommodations in the Dallas area for three (3) nights for winner and a guest, transportation to/from airport/hotel, passes to attractions, and a gift basket. Trip to take place on/about September 19, 2008; if winner is unable to travel during this time, an alternate winner will be selected. Approximate, maximum retail value of grand prize is approximated at $2,300. Prize is non-transferable; no prize substitutions or cash redemption except by sponsor, who may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if an advertised prize becomes unavailable. Any unused elements of the grand prize will be forfeited, will not be redeemable for cash and may not reduce the prize value awarded for tax purposes. The advertising element of the grand prize has no retail value and if it becomes unavailable or impractical for the sponsor to fulfill this element, sponsor’s only obligation is to provide the remainder of the prize. All taxes on prizes are winner’s sole responsibility. If any prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable or winner cannot be contacted for any reason, an alternate potential grand prize winner will be selected. Limit one prize per person/household.

5. CONDITIONS:

By entering the sweepstakes, entrant agrees to be added to the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau mailing list, receive e-mail and direct mail notifications of future promotions and events, and receive a complimentary visitors kit. Potential winner will be notified by phone and/or mail and/or e-mail and will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release (and where legally permissible a Publicity Release) within five business days of notification date or sponsor reserves the right to randomly select alternate winner; on the day of attempted contact, if potential winner is unable to be reached, an alternate, potential winner will be selected. No substitution or transfer of prize permitted unless advertised prize becomes unavailable, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be substituted by sponsor in sponsor’s sole discretion. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification with an alternate winner selected. Taxes and any other expenses and incidentals not mentioned herein are winner’s sole responsibility. By entering, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these official rules. Acceptance of prize constitutes consent to use of winner’s name, likeness, and biographical data for advertising/publicity purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. Entrants hereby release and hold harmless Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, related entities, affiliates, sponsors and agencies from any and all claims, demands, losses, and liabilities arising out of this promotion or use or misuse of the prize awarded hereunder. Sponsor assumes no liability or responsibility for damages, losses or injury resulting from this sweepstakes or the acceptance or use of any prize. Entrant is responsible for all online charges incurred with any Internet service provider and/or wireless carrier. Sponsor not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures or any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any Web site or online service, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost, incomplete, illegible or misdirected entries. No mechanical reproduction of entries accepted. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. If the judges determine, in their sole discretion, that there is any suspected or actual tampering with the sweepstakes or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the sweepstakes, the judges reserve the right to void the entries at issue and/or terminate or modify the Sweepstakes and/or conduct a random drawing to award the prize using all eligible entries received as of the termination date. If the sweepstakes is terminated due to tampering or technical difficulties prior to its expiration date, notice will be posted at www.glbtdallas.com. Any attempt to damage the content or operation of this Sweepstakes is unlawful and subject to legal action.
